Everything is a Buzzzzzz….

Wednesday, July 24th, 2013

Over at the C. C. Designs blog they are having a summertime challenge. I have so many bees buzzing around my garden this time of year, I especially love the big, fat bumblebees! Since bees make me think of summer I made this cute card using a Sweet November fairy with her little bee friend.

Halloween Shadowbox

This time around on the Lawnscaping Challenge blog it’s paper piecing. For me it’s never too early to start thinking about Halloween so I decided to make a Halloween Shadow box using 3 different Lawn Fawn sets, Hebbie Jebbies, Critters in the ‘Burbs and Harvest Season. I can’t wait until Halloween so I can put it on my mantle!

Super Dog! Able to leap fire hydrants in a single bound!

Hot Dog Card

This time for the Lawnscaping Challenge it’s coloring. I used the new “Critters at the Dog Park” Lawn Fawn stamp set and colored my dog and fire hydrant with Spectrum Noir markers. I also sponged the background with inks and sponge daubers. The die cut shape is from Lifestyle Crafts and the washi tape came from EK Success.

Trick or Treat

Tuesday, August 14th, 2012

For me it’s never too early for Halloween! Last week a got a big box of amazing new Halloween stamps from Inkadinkado to review for Craft Gossip. I love every stamp I got, lots of creepy, spooky images! Here’s a couple of my first projects, I’ll have more in the upcoming weeks.

For this ATC I stamped the image twice, once in black and one in red, cutting out the words and apple from the red and layering on top of the black. I colored my witch green and added some glaze to the apple to make it shiny.

For this card I wanted to make my tarantula fuzzy so I used brown flocking powder. So I could get the stamped image and the flocking at the same time I first inked up the stamp with brown ink then inked it again with a glue pad and then stamped it. I then poured on the flocking, tapped it down then tapped off the excess. If you do this be sure to quickly wipe the colored ink from your glue pad so it won’t stain it.

A Muse Boat Card

I recently reviewed a wonderful group of products from A Muse Studio for my blog over at Craft Gossip. They generously sent me several stamp sets, a bunch of ink pads and pattern paper. I honestly loved everything and had a great time creating my cards. If you’d like to check out my review and see several more card ideas you can find it by clicking here and visiting Craft Gossip. We’re also sponsoring an amazing giveaway from A Muse starting on Monday the 16th, so you might want to check it out and enter to win a great prize package.

I’d Like to be Under the Sea…..

Wednesday, April 25th, 2012

It felt so good to stamp today! After spending 6 long weeks recovering from surgery it felt so good to sit down and be creative!

I needed to make a couple of birthday cards and the one I made for my mother in law (who loves the sea and anything nautical) fit perfectly with the latest Lawnscaping challenge Stamp a Scene . All the stamps are from Lawn Fawn’s Critters of the Sea set and all the pattern papers are from My Mind’s Eye.

I haven’t had much time to participate in any changes lately but I finally had some free time this week to make a card for the latest Lawnscaping challenge. It’s inspired from the photo, I used red rhinestones for the apples, all stamps are Lawn Fawn, pattern papers are from CTMH and My Mind’s Eye.

Always Be Yourself

Saturday, October 8th, 2011

I’m really excited to be using Inkadinkado stamps all this month over on the Craft Gossip blog! I got lots of wonderful stamps to play with and will be sharing samples and having giveaways all through October. You can visit the Craft Gossip stamping blog by clicking here.

Here’s one of my favorite cards I’ve made so far. I took the collage style cameo stamp and added a witches hat from another Inkadinkado stamp set and turned her into a witch. I used non traditional colors to make it more unique.

I adore the Pure Innocence stamp line from My Favorite Things, it’s one of my faves, I’d love to own them all 🙂

Here’s a card I made for the MFT weekly sketch challenge. I took the little girl holding the pumpkin and drew a jack o’ lantern face on the pumpkin and added a witches hat to her to take it from being a more fall image to Halloween. The sentiment stamp is from the Pure Innocence Fairy stamp set. The papers are from Cosmo Cricket.
