Take Flight
April 18th, 2013A while ago a friend cleaned out her craft closet and gave me lots of cool stuff to play with. One of the things she gave me was a bag of angel wings she’d removed from some old ornaments. It took awhile to figure out what I wanted to do with them but I got the crazy idea to mount a small canvas on the front and I came up with…The Queen of Flight. There’s layers of vintage paper, felt, rhinestones, book text, a vintage button and a charm dangling from the bottom too. I think she’s ready to take flight!

What Time is It?
April 9th, 2013I love finding small vintage photos! I got a few recently at a antique show and one of them was an amazing Steampunk looking girl! Wearing a top hat and holding a cane she was perfect for a Steampunk/ Victorian inspired charm necklace. I also added vintage watch parts inside a vintage watch crystal along with a cool repro watch key charm. I think this necklace turned out super cool!

Spring Has Sprung!
April 4th, 2013I think Spring is finally on it’s way, I saw my first chipmunk of the year and the first dandilion has popped up in the yard!
To help celebrate this wonderful time of year I’ve made several soldered glass pendant with animals that make me think Spring.
The first three (bunny, duckling and lamb) are vintage illustrations from a Tasha Tudor book. I love her work!
This Robin pendant has a nest on the back and comes from a vintage children’s ABC book.
All (except the lamb, which sold) are in my Etsy shop right now.
Deers and Donkeys and Bears, Oh My!
March 25th, 2013Here’s a collection of new wooden pendants I’ve made. They are 1 1/2″ wide with a vintage book illustration sealed on a round wooden disc. Each has a sterling silver plated bail on the back for hanging on a chain.
All are available in my Etsy shop, only $7 each!

February 4th, 2013I recently found an amazing antique book from 1912 about famous poets and I cut out some text from Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven” for a soldered charm on this mixed media necklace. I also added a book and pen nib charm too.
