This time around on the Lawnscaping Challenge blog it’s paper piecing. For me it’s never too early to start thinking about Halloween so I decided to make a Halloween Shadow box using 3 different Lawn Fawn sets, Hebbie Jebbies, Critters in the ‘Burbs and Harvest Season. I can’t wait until Halloween so I can put it on my mantle!

A nearby Art Gallery is having an exhibit/contest for local artists, the theme is Day of the Dead and the medium is Artist Trading Cards (ATC’s). Here are my entries. I used a combination of collage with stamps (traditional and digital) and some copies of vintage clip art.
I used tiny clear beads over the image for the Sugar Skull

Here’s aΒ couple more recent Halloween soldered charms and one not so Halloween π
This first is a tiny black domino, I used white permanent ink to stamp on the dancing skeletons, this is perfect for Halloween and Dia de Los Muertos.
This soldered glass pendant is a cool vintage hanging bat stamp I found on Etsy. I stamped him on vintage dictionary paper.
This last one is sooooo spooky….NOT π It’s a Queen Bee charm necklace, the large soldered domino has beehive paper and a silver bee charm, the smaller says Queen and there is also a large silver crown charm.
These are all available in my Etsy shop.

I recently made several domino charms and charm necklaces for Fall and Halloween. Each domino is colored with ink and stamped with an image and then soldered around the edges.
This first one is all about one of my favorite poets Edgar Allan Poe, the round charm is a vintage wooden game piece and there is also a metal ink pen nib.
I love this cool owl image, I added another game piece with the word “who”
This one is a play on the term “skeleton key”, dancing skeletons on the domino, a metal key and skull bead
This tiny pumpkin charm also has a little leaf bead on it
and last but not least Ichabod better beware, the headless horseman is riding…..
These are currently available in my Etsy Shop.

Made some cute cards with my new Cricut Mini die cutting machine. I like this mini machine better than any of the other Cricuts I’ve tried. It hooks to your computer and it’s so much easier to see what you’re doing, change sizes and make adjustments on the computer screen.
I love this cool Bride of Frankenstein, she’s from the Movable Monsters collection.
This cute owl come from the Create a Critter cartridge, it has such adorable animals and accessories to go with them.
If you’d like a chance to win a Cricut Mini I’m having a giveaway over on the Craft Gossip blog, click here for the post and enter.

Been playing around with more new Halloween stamps from Inkadinkado.
I’m in love with the Voodoo Doll stamps, a cute witch and funky cat. I thought they’d make perfect shrink plastic charms so I stamped them on white shrink plastic using Staz-On ink, colored them with colored pencils, punched a hole for the jump rings and strung them on a chain. I also added a small domino with the word “Voodoo”.
This Death Head Moth stamp is spooky but also seemed a little vintage to me, like an insect specimen so I made a collage with a vintage feel with it. It’s on layers of pattern paper embellished with vintage lace, a vintage button and a chipboard label with brads.
This X-Ray of a Trick or Treat bag is just so evil! Along with the candy there is a razor blade in the apple, brass knuckles and a big knife. Probably not a stamp for everyone but I like twisted things so I think it’s really cool π I added some poison labels cut from some pattern paper and added the color tinting with small sponges and ink.

For this collage I used the raven and skull stamp from Inkadinkado on vintage book paper, it’s embellished with a binder clip and ink pen nib that’s dripping ink. The bottom border is black mesh ribbon, crepe paper and an embossed metal plate that says “nevermore”. I tied some hemp string with a hand and heart charm around the plate. I almost didn’t want to sell it I love it so much but I’ve listed it in my Etsy shop π

I envision this scene happening in Snape classroom at Hogwarts π
The current challenge at Lawnscaping is to make your own pattern paper. I used three different Lawn Fawn sets for my card, the broom from Making Frosty Friends, the witches hat and top hat from Hats off to You and the frog (toad), stars, flames and wand from Critters Ever After. I made two pattern papers, the purple uses stars from the Critters Ever After set and the stone wall paper is made from the top hat from Hats Off to You. I used a post it note to mask off the bottom part of the hat and stamped the top half for my stones (see pics below). Everything is colored with colored pencils and blended with Gamsol. The cauldron die cut is from Silhouette.

This card won a Top Mow It All spot in the challenge, yeah!!
