Ink Blending an Embossing Folder Technique

June 11th, 2020

I created this fun Unicorn card with the Dragons and Unicorns stamp set from Hero Arts. For the starry background I ink blended on an embossing folder so the white stars still shine through. I used markers and inks from Spectrum Noir for my coloring and inking.

4 U Dad

May 21st, 2020

This tall slimline card is perfect for Father’s Day or your Dad’s Birthay. I used Spooky Spellers stamps from Hello Bluebird for a fun woodland animal card. I used a white Prismacolor colored pencil to add accents to my Tri-Blend alcohol based markers on light tan cardstock and I love the results!

I’m also using some new additions to my Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers, the Vintage Blends set to color my images.

Foiled Mermaid Card for MerMay

May 6th, 2020

Each May artists on Instagram create mermaid themed projects for #MerMay. I love mermaids so I try to create at least one mermaid card each May. This one was made using a digital stamp and a Glaminator Foiling Machine. I love the shimmer foils can add to digital stamps. It also makes them easy to color because the foiling can’t smear.

Clean and Simple Cards for Mom

April 29th, 2020

I don’t normally do simple cards but I want to challenge myself to create some. I used the Garden Friends stamp set from Crafter’s Companion with Arteza Real Brush Pens to watercolor and create two clean and simple cards for Mother’s Day. Using brown instead of black ink helps giving a softer storybook look.

I used the brand new Party on the Farm stamp set from Hello Bluebird along with one of their older Halloween sets, Tabitha and turned her into a farm girl. I colored my images with Tri-Blend Spectrum Noir markers and ink blended my background.
