Here’s a cute Easter bunny card tutorial I made recently using stamps from Close to My Heart (large egg), Hero Arts (polka dot) and Some Odd Girl (all others).

-Cut in half a pink piece of 8 1/2″x11″ cardstock and fold for card base
-Cut a yellow polka-dot pattern paper to 5 1/2″x 1 3/4″ and cut tan cardstock to 5 1/2″ x 1 1/2″, adhere together and tie around with pink plaid ribbon, then adhere to card front

-On white cardstock stamp bunny, color with grey and pink markers (I used Spectrum Noir), apply snow pen or puffy white paint pen and heat with heat gun, cut out bunny

-Ink the large solid egg stamp with yellow ink and then press onto an un-inked large polka dot background stamp, this is called a kissing technique and it will transfer the background image onto the solid stamp.

-Stamp egg onto 2 1/2″x 2 1/2″ white cardstock, stamp grass in green at the bottom, adhere to a 2 3/4″x 2 3/4″ piece of tan cardstock and adhere to card front

-Adhere bunny using foam tape next to egg
-Stamp words in black on card front

I hope you enjoyed this quick Easter card tutorial. You can find this card and others of mine for sale over here in my Etsy Shop.

Just wanted to share the birthday card I made for my Mom this year. She has an adorable grey kitty with white “socks” on her legs so they named her Boots, so I used a kitty with a gift stamp from C C Designs and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers to look like Boots. The stamp is actually in a Christmas set but using bright yellow and blue colors instead of red and green it’s a perfect birthday stamp too. I also added the banner stamp from Lawn Fawn.

The challenge over at the Lawnscaping blog is to make a card inspired by one of the design team members, I chose Audrey, I love her use of pattern papers, making cute scenes and she uses grass a lot, which I like to do too.
For my card I used the Critters at the Dog Park stamp set from Lawn Fawn, this cute little pooch is in love with the fire hydrant 🙂

One of the few remaining magazine devoted completely to rubber stamping is The Stamper’s Sampler. I recently posted a review of their latest Winter issue along with a card inspired by Tim Holtz, who is the featured artist. Click here to read my review over on Craft Gossip, including how to make my Tim inspired Valentine card, this is a great masculine style, perfect to give to the man in your life.

Winter is finally here, it was 17 degrees yesterday when I woke up, brrrr!

To get in the mood for this frigid weather I made this adorable, abominable snowman card using stamps from Lawn Fawn.
Here’s how…..
Supplies- Light blue, pale blue, tan and white cardstocks; Lawn Fawn” Yeti” and “Critters in the Snow” (snowflakes) stamp sets; blue and black inks, jute string, alcohol markers, foam tape
– First cut a piece of light blue cardstock in half and fold for the card base
-Next cut a piece of white cardstock to 5 1/4″ x 4″ and cut a pale blue piece to 5″ long and using your scissors cut a wave shape across the top

– Next trim a tan piece of cardstock to 5″ x 3 3/4″ and randomly stamp snowflakes with blue ink. Tip: Place several clear snowflake stamps onto the same block to make stamping quicker. Next stamp the words in black.

– Adhere the tan piece of cardstock on top of the white then adhere the blue wave piece, wrap a 24″ piece of hemp string around the bottom, tie in a knot and fray the edges. Adhere this to the cardstock base.
– On white cardstock using black ink stamp the yeti and color with alcohol markers and cut out. Mount him to your card using foam tape.

Aren’t these black kitties adorable?! They look like they are such good helpers for their witches and wizards!

I made these two ACEO/ Artist Trading cards (3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″)using stamps from C.C. Designs. I stamped each kitty onto white cardstock with Memento Black ink and use Spectrum Noir markers to color them. It’s so easy to add shadowing, shading and depth with these markers! I love them! I’m not sure if you can tell but I also added touches of glitter using a Stardust Gell Roll, to the potion bottles and the hat band. I then cut each image out and mounted them using foam tape onto an orange harlequin pattern paper. Onto the pattern papers I stamped some fun text and a spider web or stars. Then mounted the pattern paper onto cardstock. I think they turned out so cute! These cards are currently available in my Etsy shop.

I’ve entered these in the C C Designs Monthly challenge.

Over at the C. C. Designs blog they are having a summertime challenge. I have so many bees buzzing around my garden this time of year, I especially love the big, fat bumblebees! Since bees make me think of summer I made this cute card using a Sweet November fairy with her little bee friend.

I adore Jane Austen, the books, the movies, the BBC miniseries, all of it! I have a wonderful Jane inspired stamp set from Oxford Impressions that has Regency style images and quotes from Jane’s books and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite sets. It so much fun to color, especially the womens dresses. I recently made a set of 3 Artist Trading Cards (ATC’s) using them. I stamped the images with black Memento ink on cardstock and colored the images with Spectrum Noir markers (I can not stop using these markers!) and then stamped the quotes onto clear acetate and attached them over the images with brads onto coordinating colored cardstock. I also added a charm to each one that went along with the theme.

These are currently available in my Etsy shop. These have now sold.

This time around on the Lawnscaping Challenge blog it’s paper piecing. For me it’s never too early to start thinking about Halloween so I decided to make a Halloween Shadow box using 3 different Lawn Fawn sets, Hebbie Jebbies, Critters in the ‘Burbs and Harvest Season. I can’t wait until Halloween so I can put it on my mantle!
