I used the new Winter Walk Scene die and the Oh, Nuts squirrel stamps from Hello Bluebird for a sweet Valentine’s Day Card. I’ll show to how to piece together this type of die and also how to blend colored pencils with a blending solution.
Using a Peony stamp set from Recollections from Michael’s I created three different cards each with a different technique. In my video I’ll show you some easy techniques for ink blending with masking, coloring with pencils on dark cardstock and ink smooshing.
This tall slimline card is perfect for Father’s Day or your Dad’s Birthay. I used Spooky Spellers stamps from Hello Bluebird for a fun woodland animal card. I used a white Prismacolor colored pencil to add accents to my Tri-Blend alcohol based markers on light tan cardstock and I love the results!

I made this fun Polaroid Easter card with the Peeking Easter Friends stamps from Gerda Steiner Designs and Selfie Frames dies from Lawn Fawn. I colored the images with colored pencils on colored cardstock, blending it Gamsol solution.
Just wanted to share a couple of cards I made recently.
This one uses a stamp from the Character Construction’s Bird and Bee Paperie line. I adore how the bunny’s tale is poking out in the back! The paper I used is My Mind’s Eye.
The next card uses stamps from Stampin’ Up’s set Just Buzzin’ By. I used a glitter pen on the bee’s wings and liquid dimensional adhesive (aka, liquid glass, crystal lacquer, etc) on the honey to give it some shine. I used Echo Park paper on this one.
Both cards were colored with Prisma Color Pencils and odorless mineral spirits (aka Gamsol)
I recently got some adorable stamps from The Greeting Tree, they are really cute versions of characters from Alice in Wonderland and I thought they were the perfect size for art cards (2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″). Each character was stamped on white cardstock with black staz-on ink and colored using colored pencils and orderless mineral spirits for blending. I cut each out and added them to layers of vintage book paper and cardstocks. Plus I added a stamped embellishment to each, Alice got glittery mushrooms, the Mad Hatter got a glossy tea cup and the White Rabbit got a clock with movable clock hands (from Tim Holtz). I also ran a very thin strip of white core cardstock (from Close To My Heart) through my label maker and sanded them to make each card a name label.
