I used stamps and dies from Hello Bluebird, including the new Mushroom House background stamp for this cute Fairy House Card. I water colored my images with Arteza Brush Pens for a fairy tale book feel.
The wonderful folks over at Chalkola have sent me their Watercolor Brush Pens to review for you. This set of 28 pens come in a wide range of colors and include a pad of watercolor paper and two water brushes. These pens work on watercolor paper and smooth cardstocks and can achieve soft or vibrant colors. I’ve got 7 different techniques for coloring stamped images, die cut shapes and card backgrounds to share with you. Visit my Youtube channel for the video or watch it down below.

I don’t normally do simple cards but I want to challenge myself to create some. I used the Garden Friends stamp set from Crafter’s Companion with Arteza Real Brush Pens to watercolor and create two clean and simple cards for Mother’s Day. Using brown instead of black ink helps giving a softer storybook look.
I used one of the new Whimsical and Wild stamp sets from Jane Davenport to create a fun Alice in Wonderland themed card. I used Distress Crayons from Tim Holtz to watercolor the image and added a few tea charms to finish it off.

I used shimmery watercolor paints to create a rainbow background for this fun birthday card. I also die cut and colored 6 of the Whittle Panda dies from Poppy Stamps in a row across the front.
Want the trendy watercolor look but don’t have any watercolors? No problem, use your dye based ink pads instead. I’ll show you how to watercolor with the Stampin Up Classic Ink Pads using the new Free as a Bird stamp set.
Using more new stamps from the brand new Stampin Up catalog I created this pretty floral card with the Beautiful Friendship stamps. I did a faux watercolor technique using different ink pads colors spritzed with water on the solid stamps. It’s a quick and easy way to get a watercolor look.
I’m so excited to share with you a card using some adorable new stamps from Hello Sweetums. They are an Australian based company but not to worry if you’re in the US you can get them on-line at Simon Says Stamp and Butterfly Reflections Ink. I made this card with their Seas the Day stamps, matching dies and Stargazer stencil using Arteza Brush Pen to watercolor.
